The Chicago Sky once again played against the Indian Fever in the WNBA this season and lost. The Sky’s crushing defeat against the Fever on Saturday night saw them score just 52 points, which is tied for the lowest total in the WNBA this season. That is better in comparison to the franchise-low 48 they scored in their first-season game against the Detroit Shock on August 10, 2006.
However, it was Fever star Caitlin Clark(who did not even play) in the game that made waves in and around the NBA community for her reaction towards Sky rival Angel Reese. Clark is not playing in this second game versus Reese and the Sky this season because she is currently recovering from a left quad strain. Clark nevertheless continued to celebrate a Reese error during Saturday’s game despite this.
Reese had a clear path while lining up for a shot effort at one point during the third quarter. Clark was observed leaping off her team’s bench and making the travel motion using her hands after the foul was called. After Reese’s travel, the camera shifted to Clark, who turned to face the audience and gestured with her finger in the other direction, signaling that it was now Indiana’s ball.

As for the game, with Kamilla Cardoso and Rebecca Allen pacing the team with eight points apiece, the Sky also had no players in double figures. This awful performance occurred on a night when 19,496 people were sold out for the Sky’s inaugural match at the United Center.
On the other hand, Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 17 points, but four other girls scored in double figures. Aari McDonald, meanwhile, scored 12 points off the bench to continue her strong performance while being under a hardship contract.
South Carolina Gamecocks Head Coach Dawn Stanley made her views clear on the Sky-Fever rivalry
The question of whether Indiana and Chicago have a rivalry has generated some discussion among women’s basketball fans. People who have been in the WNBA for a while know that the Fever and Sky have been rivals for a long time, including South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, even though some people deny this.
It’s a rivalry in which I like to see these two teams play against each other, Whoever wins, it’s a toss up. So for me, yeah. Let’s call it a rivalry.
Dawn Staley recently told the reporters

Before any game between these two teams could be considered a rivalry, some would contend that they must improve their on-court competition. But a lot of people would concur with Staley’s assessment, considering the intensity of these matches.
Chicago has now lost both of its matches versus Indiana this season by a total score of 62 points, following the Sky’s May 15 loss to the Fever by a score of 93-58.
Michael Jordan’s former agent, David Falk, made an important Caitlin Clark appeal
Ever since Catlin Clark entered the WNBA, their viewership has skyrocketed. She has made a huge impact on the league with her consistent performances for the Fever. Now, despite not being a formal member of the union’s committee, Clark should be participating in the WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement negotiations, according to Michael Jordan‘s longtime agent, David Falk.
It’s important for the top players to be involved, because that’s who the owners respect, She’s going to make everyone else a lot more money — not at the same level but in the same manner Jordan made everyone a lot more money.
David Falk said
Michael Jordan’s agent believes that Caitlin Clark should be involved in the new CBA negotiations. After all, she is the most important player in the league. I always believed this. Will the WNBA do it? pic.twitter.com/cuZZtOb6Ic

Falk stated that for the players to land a genuinely transformative deal, Clark and her crew at Excel Sports Management must be in agreement with the union. Excel chose to remain silent about the issue.
All players, especially up-and-coming talent, will be addressed during talks, according to the WNBPA. It remains to be seen how this situation unfolds in the coming weeks.
