Give it to Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff to be consistent when it comes to traditions with his wife, Christen Harper. The couple just changed their relationship status to married in June after five years of dating. One thing that has remained the same, though, was Goff’s pre-game tradition with Harper.

The Detroit Lions hosted the Los Angeles Rams on primetime Sunday Night Football. Harper had a sideline pass to view Goff’s game now that they are married. During the game, the camera captured Goff greeting Harper with an adorable hug and a kiss, which at this point seems like a tradition for the couple.

The video was posted on MLF’s official X account, with Morgan Wallen’s hit “Had Me By Halftime” playing in the background.

The song fit the moment like a glove. However, this wasn’t the first time the Lions QB was seen embracing his partner at the matches. The post shared by MLB also captioned it as a tradition for the couple. In the Lions vs Vikings match in January this year, fans noted how Goff strutted to Harper for a victory kiss while the stadium chanted his name.

The match was won by the Lions in overtime with a 26-20 score. Goff finished with 217 yards and a touchdown. With him winning the game with his wife by his side, fans stated he has been winning at life also.

Christen Harper was ‘looking for anything’ when she met Jared Goff

Christen Harper would not have thought that she’d end up getting married to Jared Goff when she first met him. Harper previously revealed that she met him through the private dating app, Raya.

In an interview with the Sports Illustrated, the model opened up about her relationship with her now-husband. Harper made the big revelation that she was not looking for a serious relationship at the time she met Goff.

Harper had recently gotten out of a long relationship and wanted to remain single for another year at least. However, as the events played out, it didn’t go according to plans for her.

Right after connecting on the dating app, they made their relationship public by going to the ESPY Awards as a couple. After three years of knowing each other, the couple got engaged in Mexico in 2022. And in the summer of 2024, the couple exchanged vows in Ojai, California.
