If anyone hasn’t seen Jerry Jones dance, they should quickly hop over to X. Go to the search bar and search for Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take user profile.

After locating the profile, scroll down, and the audience will come across a video from the Dallas Cowboys’ war room, from where Jones and his men call all the shots. Near the end of day 2 on Friday, Jones’ roped in East Carolina’s 6-foot-1, 194-pound cornerback Shavon Revel Jr.

Jerry Jones really liked the pick. The cameras caught him getting up from his chair to do Donald Trump‘s iconic dance move.

Jones’ jubilation stemmed from the fact that the Cowboys managed to steal a player like Revel Jr.

(Revel Jr. is) a raw prospect but has one of the highest ceilings of any cornerback in this year’s draft class. Revel’s combination of height, length, speed, and overall athleticism is special. He still lacks a ton of experience at cornerback and will need to continue to refine his technique in the NFL. His elite recovery speed was enough to make up for a lot of technical inconsistencies in college, and that may not work quite as often in the NFL, but if he develops well, Revel has a ton of upside.

As per the Last Word On Sports

Revel Jr., formerly of the California Golden Bears, was a target for the likes of the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He slipped to the third round, and the Cowboys took him at 76th overall. No wonder Jerry Jones felt like dancing with joy.

Later, Cowboys beat writer Patrick Walker chatted with the 24-year-old to get a reaction to becoming a part of America’s Team.

I was like, ‘Hey, it might be a chance I go to them ‘Boys. It was kind of crazy though, because me and my family were talking about it the whole time, the whole month, this whole year, just talking about it like, ‘It might be a chance’.

Jerry Jones’ 2025 draft list after day 2

The Cowboys drafted three players on the first two days. Jones kicked off the 2025 NFL draft by selecting Alabama’s offensive tackle Tyler Booker at 12th overall.

Booker is a 6-foot-4 giant and weighs in at 326 lbs. He is considered to be someone who can end a player’s love for football.

Football is a child’s game. So people wake up and be like, ‘Man! I can’t wait to play this football game today.’ They take all the pre-workout and get so excited to play football until they come across Tyler Booker and when I am going after you, quarter after quarter, play after play, series after series and I start to see that love leave their eyes and that’s what makes me love the game.

Tyler Booker told Micah Parsons after the Cowboys drafted him on day 1

During his time with the Crimson Tide, Booker achieved First-Team All-American (2024) and was First-Team All-SEC twice (2023, 2024).

Jones’ second pick (second round, 44th overall on day 2) was defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku from Boston College. According to the Athletic’s Dane Brugler, Ezeiruaku was the 6th-best edge rusher in the draft.

Rushing the passer is his calling card, and he has the arc acceleration, body flexibility, and long, active arms to break down the balance of blockers. He has NFL starter-level talent, and his tape says he is more than a designated pass rusher.

Dane Brugler wrote

Ezeiruaku played three years of college football for Boston College. He won the Ted Hendricks Award and was honored with the ACC Defensive Player of the Year (2024) Award.

The Cowboys’ remaining draft picks on day 3:

  • Round 5: No. 149
  • Round 5: No. 174 (Compensatory)
  • Round 6: No. 204 (from Broncos via Browns and Bills)
  • Round 6: No. 211 (Compensatory)
  • Round 7: No. 217 (from Titans via Patriots)
  • Round 7: No. 239 (from Packers via Titans)
  • Round 7: No. 247 (from Chiefs via Panthers)

Jones and the Cowboys don’t own a fourth-round pick in the 2025 draft.
