The Sunday Night Football Matchup between the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers was filled with instances capturing all eyes. First, it was the pre-game altercation between some of the players, which seemed to have annoyed the fans and Joe Mixon had to face the consequence of it.

It’s more like a tradition during a match at the historic Lambeau Field, as players leap into the bleacher after scoring a touchdown– hence, the name ‘Lambeau Leap.’ However, when the Texans’ star running back went for it, a Packers fan denied him.

Jim Nantz announced as Joe Mixon went into the red zone

It happened during the second quarter of the game when Mixon scored a two-yard rushing touchdown by striking against Green Bay’s solid defense, bringing his team to the lead of 10-7. Immediately after putting the score on the board, he went into the red zone for the famous Lambeau Leap but ended up being pushed away.

As he attempted to jump into the bleacher, the Packers fan shoved him down by pressing on his helmet with both his hands. This moment attracted intense reaction across the stadium along with certain controversies concerning the significance of the traditional touchdown celebration of the Lambeau Stadium.

Unfortunately for the Texans, they were outscored by the Packers at 24-22, resulting in their second loss of the season while improving the latter to a 5-2 season standing.

Courtesy of Mixon, the Texans are currently ranked the second-best team across the league, in terms of their passing stats. They have completed 150 out of their 222 passes for 1,669 yards with an average of 278.2 yards per game. This has surely contributed significantly to their strong offensive line.
