Amid ongoing speculation about his NFL future, Aaron Rodgers took a break from the rumors to join a charity flag football game over the weekend. The 41-year-old quarterback, still a hot topic in free agency, was spotted throwing passes at the RX3 Growth Partners event at Saddleback College in California.
Aaron Rodgers appeared relaxed and in high spirits despite questions about his next team. Reports suggest he is eyeing a move to the Minnesota Vikings, while other teams, including the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers, remain in pursuit. However, the chatter did not seem to distract him on the field.
Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen, also at the event, couldn’t resist having a little fun at Rodgers’ expense. The ex-Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback held onto the ball a little too long – earning a tease from Allen

Rodgers, unfazed, responded with a perfect pass before turning to Allen with a playful shrug. The moment captured Rodgers’ signature confidence and ability to brush off the noise—both on and off the field. As the free agency saga unfolds, Rodgers seems to be enjoying the ride. Whether his next chapter is in Minnesota or elsewhere, he remains as unbothered as ever.
The Aaron Rodgers saga is dragging on as new teams look elsewhere
While Aaron Rodgers weighs his next move, the New York Giants appear to be running out of patience. The Giants, once considered a strong contender for Rodgers, are now exploring other quarterback options.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the team has scheduled a visit with free agent Jameis Winston and has already met with Russell Wilson. Reports indicate that Rodgers prefers to join the Minnesota Vikings, but the team has yet to make a move. The Vikings are also looking to award an opportunity to their last year’s quarterback pick JJ McCarthy.
Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Giants remain in limbo, waiting for clarity. With free agency progressing, New York’s approach signals that they are unwilling to risk losing out on alternative quarterbacks. Aaron Rodgers’ indecisiveness has also created some frustrations among the insiders as well as he jumps between options and delays the process unnecessarily – affecting the team’s plans to manage the rest of the offseason.
If the Giants move forward with Winston or Wilson, it could mark the end of their pursuit of Rodgers. There is even speculation that the team could pair a veteran quarterback with a rookie like Shedeur Sanders, further closing the door on Rodgers. For now, the “Rodgers Watch” continues. But with teams making moves, the future Hall of Famer may soon find his options shrinking.
