New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields was seen celebrating in Dubai after securing a two-year, $40 million contract with the team, according to a video shared by Bleacher Report. Fields’ new deal includes $30 million in guaranteed money, positioning him as the franchise’s next potential starting quarterback.

The video, which did not specify the exact date of the celebration, captured Fields alongside fellow NFL players Micah Parsons, Bijan Robinson, and Kyle Pitts at what appeared to be a restaurant. The group was seen enjoying the lively atmosphere as staff members held sparklers and a bottle of champagne while standing behind their seating area.

Fields appeared in high spirits, which may have been influenced by his new deal with the New York Jets. The quarterback agreed to the contract after his tenure with the Pittsburgh Steelers came to an abrupt end when the team opted to start veteran quarterback Russell Wilson.

The celebration also marked a new chapter in Fields’ career as he prepares to lead the Jets’ offense heading into the 2025 NFL season. The New York Jets are one of the three worst teams in the major American leagues, having lost out on playoffs for the past fourteen years.

Despite uncertainties surrounding his future just weeks ago, it is now up to Justin Fields how he proves himself with a lucrative contract and reestablish himself as a starting quarterback in the league.

Justin Fields needs no high expectations in his first year

Justin Fields moving to the New York Jets was one of the trades that was ranked ‘A’ by many analysts. The Jets, having been on the bad side of history in the last decade, would love nothing more than some instant success.

The Jets have been performing quite badly for a good part of the last decade, running through the quarterbacks. They will need to build the baby steps and aim for higher results. Aaron Rodgers, last year, was expected to take the Jets to the AFC Championship Game while in reality they struggled to win matches.

Joy Taylor, speaking on SPEAK, iterated these thoughts and pushed forward for realistic expectations for the young quarterback.

I do hope this time around, the expectations are realistic. Let’s not talk about the Super Bowl, let’s not talk about AFC Championship Games, let’s take baby steps, let’s just push the culture. Let’s put the foundation in place. And let’s not put him (Fields) in a position where he has to come in and be the savior of New York City.

Joy Taylor said

Justin Fields had a great year before Russell Wilson took over from him despite winning four of the first six games. Nevertheless, he had his flaws and he is no Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, who can turn around and start delivering results.
