Madison Beer dropped by at SoFi Stadium to cheer for her beau, Justin Herbert, as his Los Angeles Chargers took down the Philadelphia Eagles. Herbert took the field as quarterback just days after having surgery on his left hand.
After the game, he went to meet with Beer in the stands. A young fan called out to the 27-year-old for an autograph. However, he was rejected instantly. His only mistake was wearing a Jalen Hurts jersey. A male voice of disapproval floated down from the bleachers. Moments later, a woman’s voice can be heard repeating:
Not while you’re wearing that motherf***er.
Yikes: Justin Herbert refused to take a photo and cursed out a young fan because he was wearing a Jalen Hurts jersey.

As Justin Herbert was at the scene, infamous Twitter personality Dov Kleiman linked those words to the Pro Bowler. However, a few quickly thwarted Kleiman’s claims. They pointed out that the male voice did not sound remotely close to Herbert’s.
That didn’t even sound like Justin

He didn’t say that. This is really irresponsible. You should be embarrassed to post this.

This wasn’t Justin. Jesus the hate today is disturbing. Be better.

Hebert had two strikes in the same night. He caught ample heat on social media for refusing to be interviewed by an ESPN sideline reporter after the final whistle.
A lot of people are saying Justin Herbert was “rude” to ESPN’s Laura Rutledge for not wanting to do this postgame interview after the Chargers OT win vs Philly

My thoughts:
1. He did come across a little rude, but acted like a professional after he reluctantly agreed to be… pic.twitter.com/7eFmQSn3fh
It wasn’t a great outing for Herbert to begin with. Aside from playing with a broken hand, he was sacked seven times, fumbled the ball twice and threw one interception. Herbert eventually racked up 12 completions for 139 yards (46.1%), 1 touchdown and 1 pick.
While his passing numbers were subpar, Herbert made sure to contribute with his legs. His ground play roped in 66 yards, which was more than running back Omarion Hampton, who had 56 rushing yards.

Justin Herbert earns the title of “superhero quarterback” from his head coach
Herbert’s place in the starting roster came into question due to the injury. The Chargers prepared Trey Lance to start against the Eagles if he failed to report in time.

Luckily, the doctors gave Herbert the green light to start on Monday. His performance did not go according to plan, but it was enough to secure a much-needed win, keeping pace with the 11-2 Denver Broncos at the top of the AFC West.
Cameras caught Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh screaming with joy after spotting his star quarterback at the end of the game.

During the post-game press conference, Harbaugh piled on the praise for $262.5 million man. Harbaugh said:
He had surgery a week ago and is out here tonight. It felt like I was in a movie where the quarterback’s doing these things, and you get to the point where you go, ‘OK, this is getting a little unrealistic.’ You know? That’s what it felt like to me. He refuses to lose. He’s as tough as they get. He’s a superhero quarterback.
Herbert is close to matching his touchdown tally from 2024. After thirteen games, Herbert has accumulated 277 pass completions from 422 attempts (65.6%) for 2981 yards, 22 passing touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He has also rushed for 419 yards and scored 1 touchdown.
