VIDEO: Kevin Durant brutally trolled by New Yorker in audience leaving Anthony Edwards in splits
NBA stars Kevin Durant and Anthony Edwards had a wonderful chat at the Fanatics Fest in New York, hosted by Jalen Rose.
Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant
Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant have been enjoying their off-season after winning the Gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Most recently, the two stars attended the Fanatics Fest hosted by Jalen Rose in New York City. Notably, Edwards and Durant share a great bond off the court despite being NBA rivals for the respective franchises they play.
In addition, Rose put the Olympics win aside and jumped to the main topic: the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season for the two stars. Interestingly, before talking about the new season, Edwards stated at the Fest that he “felt bad” after eliminating Durant and the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs this past 2023-24 season. However, Rose was smart enough to change the topic.
Meanwhile, Durant was questioned by Rose regarding what can the NBA fans expect from the Suns in the upcoming 2024-25 season. To everyone’s surprise, a New Yorker from the audience said “nothing” which caught everyone’s attention, including the Timberwolves’ star man as he burst out with laughter. In addition, Durant will be looking to make amends after a poor 2023-24 season in the NBA.
Despite possessing the likes of Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Durant himself, the Suns performed below expectations last season. Many NBA experts and analysts tipped them to be contenders for the 2023-24 season but things went downhill for the decorated franchise. It will be interesting to watch how Durant and Co. perform in the upcoming NBA season.
Kevin Durant gets honest about talking trash with fans online
Kevin Durant is well-known for his excellent performances on the court, but he has also acquired a reputation for being active on social media. Durant also does not hesitate to engage with both fans and detractors. His scathing reactions to trolls are enjoyable, to say the least, and they frequently go viral. Notably, the Suns star opened up on his social media activity at the Fanatics Fest recently.
The whole point of having social media is to interact with people, right? So, you follow me for a chance to maybe interact with me. Depending on how I feel, I'm gonna interact, and if you troll, I will troll back, If you show love, I will show love back.Kevin Durant on the Fanatics Fest
Interestingly, Durant debated with supporters throughout the Paris Olympics about implementing FIBA standards in the NBA. Whether fans find Durant’s constant activity on social media entertaining or contentious, it is evident that he will not be silenced. Hence, despite possessing a calm nature on and off the court, Durant does not hold back from letting out his opinions and views on social media.
