KD bashed Plumlee over bad behind-the-back pass attempt

On Monday’s matchup between the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers, fans got to see a similar sight from their star, Kevin Durant. Towards the end of the first half, camera caught KD being his usual agitated self after a bad passing sequence to him during a fast break. Upset over the missed opportunity to get a bucket, he let his teammates have it.

The Phoenix Suns’ 2024-25 addition to their squad, a 10-year NBA veteran, Mason Plumlee, was on the receiving end of KD’s disapproval. After Royce O’Neale made an interception, he ran down the court looking for his slashers. Just before attempting a layup, he passed the ball to the forward-center, “Plums,” who tried a fancy behind-the-back assist that slipped past KD’s grip. This led the former champ to exclaim in frustration, “What are you doing?”

This tense moment was caught on camera and the audio of the interaction has gone viral since. Following 36-year old’s bashing of the newest member of Phoenix Suns, fans are reveling at the notion of how KD hasn’t changed a bit. He was also previously caught cussing Jusuf Nurkic out in middle of the game for losing his mettle.

Mason Plumlee is the newest member of the Suns’ struggling squad. Phoenix procured the veteran for a one-year, $3.3 million contract over the summer. Despite his arrival, the team’s fortunes have continued to decline, as the Suns slips to the 8th seed in the Western Conference.
