LeBron James unimpressed with Victor Wembanyama and France’s performance against Germany
LeBron James expressed his thoughts on Victor Wembanyama and France’s performance in their 85-71 loss to Germany in pool play at the Paris Olympics. James stated that he wasn’t very impressed with France’s showing, as he cited their struggle with Germany’s physicality as a major factor.

James identified Canada and Germany as teams the United States needs to be prepared for in the knockout stage of the tournament. He noted that France had been playing well otherwise, but their loss to Germany exposed their weaknesses.
The United States enters the knockout round with a 3-0 record, having outscored opponents 317-253 in the group stage. France, on the other hand, went 2-1 in Group B, with their lone loss coming against Germany. The knockout stage is set to begin on August 6, with the gold medal game taking place on August 10.
