LeBron James seems to show no signs of stopping soon even after turning 40 last month. Basketball players typically start to slow down and stop making the same athletic plays they used to when they were in their late 30s. But with James, that isn’t the case. Since 2003, the Lakers star has been a formidable opponent, and in 2025, he remains one.

James continues to possess a lot of bounce, and he displayed some of it tonight. Austin Reaves noticed a charging LeBron James approaching from the top of the court after grabbing an offensive rebound in the second quarter. Reaves provided a sensational alley-oop pass, and the 40-year-old took care of the rest.

Interestingly, James has a penchant for dunking on international players. This time around he dunked on Jonas Valanciunas of the Washington Wizards. Notably, Valanciunas is a reported target for the Lakers and James seemingly put him to test at the Crypto Arena.com. This poster dunk left many fans stunned, including his own son, Bronny James.

Bronny was joined in by several NBA Twitter fans in their astonishment. Regarding the game, James and his teammate Anthony Davis led the Lakers to an important victory over the Wizards. James had 21 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. Davis recorded 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The Lakers were coming off a defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers going into Tuesday’s game against the Washington Wizards. In addition, the Wizards were competitive during the first half. But one move changed the course of the game. During the second quarter, LeBron James cut to the bucket after Austin Reaves pulled down an offensive rebound in the paint.

After Reaves backed up a little, he fired a stunning alley-oop ball to James and dunked over Jonas Valanciunas’ face. This sent fans into a frenzy as they witnessed greatness on live TV. One fan compared James to the legendary Michael Jordan.
