The Los Angeles Lakers faced off against a gritty Chicago Bulls side at the Crypto.com Arena and lost. Despite having their star Luka Doncic on the court, the Bulls performed admirably well in pulling off a win by a huge margin (115-146). However, Doncic has been making the headlines lately for his altercation with Bulls star Josh Giddey.
During the third quarter of Saturday’s game at the Crypto.com Arena, Doncic seemed upset. The officials spotted the Lakers star man yelling at them during a timeout after they gave him a technical foul for pushing Giddey after the action had gone uncalled. Giddey, on the other hand, took advantage of the situation.
He hits me first, I’m gonna hit him back. That’s bulls***.

One would think Doncic felt unhappy about anything the Australian had done before. That is because Giddey didn’t commit any improper actions in that particular play. However, the Slovenian shoved Giddey directly in front of the official, demonstrating that he could have come up with a more clever method to respond.
Doncic was perhaps the only one who didn’t understand that call, but he was confused that he received a technical foul. The official’s decision was quite straightforward. On the upside, Doncic had another top-natch performance, dropping 34 points on the Bulls. However, it went in vain as they lost but these are promising signs for Lakers fans going into the NBA Playoffs.

The Lakers are currently fourth in the Western Conference after dropping to 43-27 this season. They will want to go back to winning ways when they play the Orlando Magic at Kia Center on Monday after suffering their second straight loss.

Former majority owner Mark Cuban still NOT over the Luka Doncic trade deal
Many people are still baffled by the Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison’s decision to cut ties with the 26-year-old Slovenian star Luka Doncic. This comes after 2 months of the deal going through. Mavs’ former majority owner, Mark Cuban recently clarified what would have happened if he had continued to lead the franchise.
If I had any influence, the trade wouldn’t happen. After I sold the Mavericks, the majority owner, Patrick Dumont, decided that he was comfortable with Nico Harrison, the general manager, and the team he had put together, which was his choice.
Mark Cuban said
Mark Cuban: "If I had any influence, the trade wouldn't happen. I was just as dumbfounded as everybody else. After I sold the Mavericks, the new owner Patrick Dumont decided that 'Ok, in Nico we trust.' So, here we are."

At first, many people thought it was a joke that Luka Doncic had joined the Lakers in return for Anthony Davis. However, Cuban remembers that Harrison texted him about the move, and at first, he believed the GM was seeking his advice. However, the advice quickly turned into reality, catching Cuban and others by surprise. So much so that, Cuban was left ‘stunned’ by the trade deal at the time and had to double-check whether the news was true or not.
