In one of the most nerve-wracking spots in recent memory, Bronson Reed leaped off a wall, crashing his 330-pound frame on Braun Strowman‘s abdomen in a parking lot brawl on this week’s Raw. While all this was unfolding in real time, veteran commentator Michael Cole was losing his mind over the spot being nestled in his chair at ringside. In footage shared by WWE on its Instagram, Cole’s reaction says it all.

He was pleading with Reed, although to no avail, not to rattle Strowman with a tsunami, at least not from the elevation he did. Michael Cole‘s fellow desk partner, Corey Graves, couldn’t help but scream, “Say it a prayer,” at what he saw. Neither of the commentator’s voices bore fruit. And Reed successfully pounced on a grounded Strowman onto the roof of a car.

Raw GM Adam Pearce and other WWE officials arrived on the site late as usual. By the time they got there, the damage had already been done. Braun Strowman wasn’t moving, and Bronson Reed had to be escorted away. And just like that, the Australian wrestler made a statement. A match viz., Reed vs. Strowman, that was supposed to be what the fans like to call it, big meaty men slapping meat, turned into a melee in no time.

At the end, it was the former NXT North American Champion who stood tall. After enduring such a callous beating, The Monster of All Monsters is expected to be out of action for a while. But no rest for the weary as Reed is set to compete in a first-round triple threat match next week. Reed will take on Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser in an attempt to advance in the tournament to determine the No. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Bronson Reed has been on a tear of late on Monday nights

In the past month or so, Bronson Reed went from a heatless giant brawler to a freak of nature on Raw. The 36-year-old drew first blood when he mauled Seth Rollins after blindsiding him from behind. Rollins was pushed to his physical limits that he started coughing blood.

It was done to write him off television. The next time the fans saw such a display of strength was a week later. And this time around, it was R-Truth‘s turn. Bronson replicated his exploits on one-half of The Awesome Truth to solidify his reign of terror.

What he has done to Braun Strowman seems like the final nail in the coffin for a while. The Adelaide-born grappler is now seen as a viable threat by his fellow counterparts on the red brand.
