In a hilarious turn of events, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams became a victim of impersonation by a group of teenagers who got hold of his number. The rookie quarterback had a disappointing year in the Windy City after starting strong.

The teenagers somehow got hold of the former USC player’s number and messaged him pretending as the Detroit Lions Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. In the text, the kids mentioned that Johnson has been hired by the Bears to replace Thomas Brown, who’s the current interim for the team. The player did, in fact, did hesitate bit before believing that it was Johnson after all.

Eventually, the player agreed to accept the video call from the kids believing it was Johnson. Little did he know, he would find a bunch of kids who couldn’t stop grinning and being happy that they got to FaceTime Williams and the fact that their prank worked as perfect as it could.

Williams was however very cheeky about being pranked. He answered the FaceTime call, and the prankster expressed relief, saying, “I’m so glad you’re getting a new head coach,” before quickly apologizing. He was seen smiling in the FaceTime as spotted in the video shared by the teenagers.

In the video, one of the kids was heard urging the rookie to join the Miami Dolphins before another chirped him to shut up. They also appreciated the quarterback as well as his nails and expressed that they think he was a GOAT.

Caleb Williams has a opinion in what he wants in the next supremo

Considering that Caleb Williams had no idea of who truly it was behind the scene, it is to be noted that he actually loves the idea of Ben Johnson changing up the tune in Chicago. As per the messages, Williams expressed his excitement in Johnson leading the squad. He seemed to be iterating one of his post game comments where he stated that the Bears’ fans frustration started long before he was drafted.

A couple of days earlier, Williams spoke about his wishes in the new coach to NBC.

I would say just challenge me. Whether it’s pulling me aside and saying whatever — having talks consistently. Maybe having a list of things, we want to accomplish, myself first — that helps the team… Find ways to help better myself and better the team. Really excited about that… Whichever way it happens or shapes up is the way it goes.

There are several names sprouted around who will lead the Bears next. Mike Vrabel attended his interview on last Wednesday. Ben Johnson has completed his interview but he has previously outlined reasons of his hesitance to join a different squad. The key other names other than Ben Johnson include Kliff Kingsbury. Kliff Kingsbury has been instrumental in helping Dan Quinn strike up a change in Washington.

The Commanders have glowed up from one of their worst performances to the first playoff in three years. Mike McCarthy is also a potential candidate for the role of Chicago Bears’ head coach. McCarthy, however, has been denied by Jerry Jones to attend Bears’ interview.
