The Dallas Cowboys started their Week 9 matchup strong with consistency and promise against the Atlanta Falcons. The team made the most of its rushing attack rather than relying on Dak Prescott and the passing offense which helped them have three 15, or more, yard runs in the first half of the game.
The Falcons made Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense work for their first touchdown of the night. On a second and goal play, Dak Prescott risked going down after the ball was snapped and the Falcons’ defensive linemen were able to get past the Cowboys’ O-line.
The quarterback pump-faked a throw to throw the defensive linemen off-guard and it worked. However, he was not out of the woods just yet. Prescott then managed to find a gap and run into space hoping to find a receiver to throw the ball to.

Dak Prescott has been using his legs more than his arms
The quarterback was nearly tackled but fortunately for him, he found running back Rico Dowdle in the endzone. Dowdle had to jump up in the air to catch the ball and shortly after, he landed on one leg but nearly dropped the pass. The ball ended up bouncing on his chest and he caught it before it could hit the ground.

The sequence of the play kept Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys fans on the edge of their seats. From Dak Prescott nearly going down to Dowdle dropping a touchdown pass, it was nothing short of a nerve-wracking experience! Fortunately, Dallas was able to convert on the play and score their first touchdown of the night.
For Dak Prescott, it has been a good game up until halftime. The quarterback had 24 rushing yards through 8 weeks before kickoff tonight. However, he switched things up a bit and relied on his rushing skills to bring Dallas closer to the endzone. The quarterback had a 22-yard rushing play which set the team up to score on the subsequent plays.
