During the NBA preseason, the Golden State Warriors have been trying to find their best starting lineup. It seems as if the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has found it in their matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors are on a perfect preseason run, winning all five matches they played. However, during their most recent matchup against the Lakers, it was Stephen Curry that made all the headlines. Besides Curry, Lakers’ D’Angelo Russell also caught a lot of attention.

Interestingly, during a particular player, Russell first made a tough 3-pointer over Curry. He followed the shot with a ‘Shimmy Off’ celebration, providing proper entertainment for fans.

Soon after, Curry gave the crowd and Russell a spectacular response. During the 3rd quarter of the game against LeBron James and Co., Curry found himself with some breathing room. Rui Hachimura was a little late and the Warriors star unleashed his signature look-away three. He followed up the shot with a ‘Shimmy Off’ celebration taunting Russell in the process.

It was a healthy bit of banter between the two sides, with Curry coming off on the winning note. He scored 16 points, made six assists, and gathered five rebounds. On the other hand, Russell had a mediocre night, scoring just six points and providing two assists for the Lakers.

The 2023–24 NBA season was a poor one for the Golden State Warriors and their star player Stephen Curry. The Warriors failed to go past the play-in round the previous season also.

In the upcoming season, they will be looking to reverse that trend. Nevertheless, Curry is eager for the next season after having a fantastic Olympic campaign in which he won the gold medal for his country.
