The Golden State Warriors have made a promising start to their 2024-25 NBA season, winning three out of the four games they have played. Their most recent win came against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night.
The Warriors were without their star man Stephen Curry for this game, with their newest addition Buddy Hield stepping up in his place. The team management will be happy with him as their choice to sign Hield seems to have paid off.
During his 29 minutes of playing time, Hield shot 9/18 from the field and 7/11 from three-point range, finishing with 28 points, one rebound, one assist, and two steals. Hield and Curry also shared a wholesome moment during the game.

On the other hand, for the Pelicans, Zion Williamson recorded three assists, one block, eight rebounds, and 31 points. The Pelicans failed to capitalize on Curry’s absence and were dealt a blow by the Warriors.
Warriors star provides update on Stephen Curry’s ankle injury
After suffering two ankle twists, Stephen Curry ended his night against the Los Angeles Clippers early and the Golden State Warriors suffered a defeat on Sunday night. Draymond Green gave a positive update on Curry’s injury, with fans waiting anxiously for his recovery.
Green stated that ‘it is good to see’ Curry walk. However, the 36-year-old is expected to miss one more game besides their recent clash with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Defensive players are drawn to Curry’s special skill set as it gives his teammates opportunities. Green pointed out that opponents could come at the Warriors with greater man-to-man coverage if he weren’t there.
