Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was involved in a vehicle accident, just days after serving jail time for a reckless driving incident. The vehicle had two other passengers besides Taylor-Britt: his brother, Jafabian Booker, and an unidentified white woman. None of them sustained any serious injuries.

According to the official crash record and footage obtained by Local 12, a black Jeep, registered to Taylor-Britt, crashed into a red Chevy around 3 a.m. on November 15 in the 400 block of Scott Street in Covington. Taylor-Britt’s car flipped to the side, landing on its roof just out of the camera’s frame, and was damaged from all sides.

A Covington police dispatcher quickly arrived at the scene but couldn’t find anyone. Booker returned to speak with the police. According to him, Taylor-Britt was sitting in the passenger seat, and he was behind the steering wheel. However, they were under Jane Doe’s lead when the accident happened.

What did Cam Taylor-Britt say to the police about the accident?

Another police squad found Taylor-Britt on his phone just outside his front door. Even after being involved in a frightening accident, he insisted he was fine. However, he did mention that he was in a very bad mood.

The 26-year-old confirmed it was his car, with his brother behind the wheel and a white woman sitting in the passenger seat. The police left without making any arrests. They are still searching for the white female.

Is Cam Taylor-Britt playing football?

A day after the accident on November 16, Taylor-Britt started against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Midway through the game, he got tangled with the Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin and injured himself. The incident left him with a Lisfranc injury, a type of foot injury that required surgery.

He didn’t miss much because the Bengals’ season was already hanging by a thread. Eventually, they were knocked out of playoff contention for the third straight year. In eight appearances, Taylor-Britt logged 12 tackles, 5 pass deflections, and one tackle for loss.

The Daily Mail reported that, on January 6, Taylor-Britt appeared in court using crutches while still recovering from that injury and faced a Hamilton County judge.

The verdict

According to the court filings, Taylor-Britt pleaded guilty to reckless driving and driving with a restricted license. He was reportedly cited twice in 2025—once in June and again in September—for driving with an expired license.

I just want to apologize for my actions. I plan already to knock out those things that got me into this place, because it is not me, and I don’t want to be here.

Cam Taylor-Britt told the court

The judge didn’t charge him with a misdemeanor because Taylor-Britt didn’t commit any crime. However, he served a five-day sentence at the Hamilton County Jail.

The Bengals drafted Cam Taylor-Britt 60th overall in the 2022 NFL draft. Since then, the Nebraska graduate has logged 203 combined tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 5 pass deflections, and 7 interceptions.
