Tommaso Ciampa once again failed to hit an RKO on Randy Orton, with the former WWE champion calling him stupid.

Tommaso Ciampa still hasn’t learned his lesson, as he once again failed to deliver an RKO on Randy Orton. He has always made the same mistake, even after failing to hit an RKO multiple times. The Blackheart always shouted before attempting it, alerting The Viper so he could escape before the chaos. This time was no different, as the duo was once again unable to put Orton down.
The former tag team champions took to X and shared another video plan involving RKOing Randy Orton. At least this time, they constructed a better plan, with Johnny Gargano advising his tag team partner to put tape on his mouth so he would not shout ‘RKO outta nowhere’ before executing it. However, as always, Tommaso Ciampa couldn’t control his emotions and shouted it anyway.
The result was expected; the former NXT Champion fell on his back on the hard floor, while The Legend Killer escaped unscathed. In the end, there was a surprise cameo from Kofi Kingston, who described the tag team’s decision to attempt the RKO on Orton with a single word: Stupid. Not only Kofi but in previous attempts, Bobby Roode and even The Undertaker didn’t entertain their idea of playing with fire.

Speaking about their WWE run, Gargano and Ciampa tasted gold for the first time on the main roster on the July 5th episode of SmackDown. However, they were quickly dethroned by The Bloodline’s Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga. Meanwhile, Randy Orton will battle Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at the Bash in Berlin PLE.
Kofi Kingston’s “stupid” reference is connected to his heated rivalry with Randy Orton
Kofi Kingston’s ‘stupid’ reference in the recent video of Ciampa and Gargano made WWE fans nostalgic. For those unaware, Randy Orton’s famous ‘stupid’ rant was first heard against a member of The New Day. It originated when both stars met for a singles match in 2010 on Raw.

Kofi was in a Triple Threat match against two heavyweights, Orton and John Cena. In a scripted finish, The Viper was supposed to end the match with a punt kick. However, things didn’t go as planned, as instead of staying in position for the move, the New Day member got to his feet. This led to anger in the 14-time world champion, and he ended the match with a forced RKO while uttering the word ‘stupid.’
The former WWE Champion got his revenge nearly ten years later when he won the title at WrestleMania 35. He also defeated Orton at SummerSlam five years ago and yelled ‘stupid’ during the match, ultimately returning the favor. It will be interesting to see The Viper’s reaction to Kofi’s cameo.
