With just a couple weeks before the Minnesota Vikings embark on their training camp, Jordan Addison has found himself in fresh trouble. The Police arrested the 22-year-old wide receiver for alleged suspicion of DUI.

Addison had a remarkable rookie year with the Vikings, securing his place alongside Justin Jefferson. However, unlike the highest-paid playmaker, Addison tends to attract unnecessary trouble.

Daily News reported that on Friday, July 12, around 11:36 pm, the cops saw a Rolls Royce blocking lane number one in the freeway near LAX airport. When the officers went for a closer look, they found Addison fast asleep at the wheel.

After shaking him up from his beauty sleep, they asked the ex-USC player a few questions. Without finding any cohesive answer, they arrested Addison on suspicion of being drunk. He was released after two hours.

A few days ago Addison became the talk of the internet when teammate Khyree Johnson died in a car accident. Just a day before the unfortunate incident, he posted a comment reminding football fans that Johnson was a great player.

Jordan Addison must learn from his past mistakes

This recent run-in wasn’t Addison’s first rodeo with the police. Before his first training camp with the Vikings as a rookie, he ended up in jail for driving a Lamborghini over 140 miles per hour in the city streets.

To make such frequent mistakes and that too after hearing one of your teammates perish in a road accident, is foolish. This sets a bad example for future generations especially in the age of social media because there’s barely anything hidden from the eyes and ears of the youth.

The Minnesota Vikings issued a statement after Addison’s arrest.

We are aware of Jordan Addison's arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident.
a Vikings spokesperson told ESPN.com’s Kevin Seifert

Jordan Addison started off his career in college football playing for Pittsburgh. He spent the Covid years (2020 and 2021) with the Panthers. During the 2021 season, he racked up 100 receptions for 1593 yards and 17 touchdowns, catching the eyes of the USC coaches.

In 2023, he entered the transfer portal, switching from Pennsylvania to California, and joining the Trojans. His output dipped in a more demanding program, yet he still put up 59 catches for 875 yards and 8 touchdowns in 11 games before announcing for the draft in 2023.

The Vikings selected him as the 23rd overall player. He appeared in all 17 games, starting 14, and recorded 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.
