Daniel Jones could not have asked for a worse start to a career-defining season. The Minnesota Vikings came into town and caused embarrassment for the New York Giants fans as they trounced their team to a disappointing loss. That loss, however, posed many questions for the proud franchise, especially with regard to their signal caller.

Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard called in to speak on The Power Trip Morning Show radio show. When asked about the booing Giants QB Jones received from his own fans, he expressed sympathy for the New York team’s starter.

Man, when we heard the boos raining in, we're like 'okay, now we're good on our side,'. But when they got really loud to where it was as loud as it would be on a third down should be when they're on defense, it was kind of bad. We kind of started to feel a little bit bad for him as we're still just completely just taking away everything that he wants to do.
Jonathan Greenard said

Greenard knew his defense had done a tremendous job against the New York Giants. However, as a fellow player, he and his teammates knew it was not going well for Jones.

The Minnesota Vikings defense forced Daniel Jones to throw two interceptions, one a game sealing pick six along with missing several other throws. They also pressured him so much that he almost moved into sacks, finishing 5 times with his back on the ground.

That was an appalling show from a quarterback who earns four times as much as his direct opponent. On top of that, Sam Darnold, with a worry about his job every year, finished with a 113.2 passer rating as opposed to Jones’ mediocre 44.3.

Daniel Jones has two away games to win Giants fans back

Jonathan Greenard might have felt bad for Daniel Jones, but the next two teams would like to capitalize on those boos as they look to propel their season forward. That also makes the next two games winnable for the New York Giants.

More so for Daniel Jones as he will first face a retooled defense with a new head coach. That makes it a great chance to win their first game of this season. In Week 3, they will face the vaunted Cleveland Browns defense. With their own quarterbacking woes, the Giants could return home with an upset.

Those two wins could completely turn around the situation for Daniel Jones. Not only will he start to resurrect his career and public perception, but also the mood of the Giants fans. They could end up cheering for him when he returns home.
