Former WWE Creative head, Vince Russo, recently made an appearance on Sportskeeda’s Legion of Raw. Russo appears on the show to usually share his insights regarding what is goes down on a Raw episode. Amongst the several topics that he discussed, he mentioned a few details of what his sources at USA Network have told him.

Vince Russo revealed on the show that WWE’s Raw is no longer a priority for USA Network. USA Network airs WWE’s Red brand shows every Monday night. Now that they are no longer a priority, WWE can face issues in extending their contract with the network.

WWE Raw’s declining ratings

WWE Championships being put on line to revive ratings

“I was told that WWE is not even a priority for the USA Network anymore. And if it’s not a priority, I can’t imagine USA (Network) is going to sign them up again after this deal. Now, don’t get me wrong. They will find another sucker. They will find a Network who thinks they are buying Rock and Austin. That’s what they do.”

This is what Russo mentioned on the show. Now considering that WWE ratings have been consistently falling, the Network’s approach is justified. Russo reveals that the concept of Thunderdome had interested the Network. They believed the idea could give a boost to the ratings.

But WWE Universe isn’t finding the concept of Thunderdome unique. They are getting used to it. Now it remains to be seen whether WWE can give their ratings some boost in the coming weeks. Two Championships are on the line for the upcoming episode. 14 time World Champion Randy Orton defends his title against Drew McIntyre. WWE Raw Tag team Champions The New Day put their titles on the line against Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.
