Being the mastermind behind the biggest professional wrestling promotions and one of the biggest companies in the world, it is no secret that Vince McMahon is one of the richest people on the planet. However, following the recent allegations of misbehaviour against the former WWE Chairman, his position has dropped significantly over the past few months.
The Forbes magazine recently published its America’s 400 wealthiest list for 2024. A significant name missing from the list this year was Vince McMahon, who was at No. 366 last year. The Janel Grant allegations against the 79-year-old have damaged both his reputation and net worth, which currently stands at an estimated $2.5 billion.
Although McMahon may have lost a significant portion of his wealth, the company seems to be doing better than ever financially. They continue to set records for gates at their shows and sell more and more merchandise. Despite the heinous allegations, the TKO stock has also not taken a hit. In fact, since the Janel Grant allegations became public in January this year, the company’s stock has seen over a 50% rise in value.
In April 2024, TKO bought back a significant amount of his stock, with the company allegedly planning to retire these shares. Although he still owns a part of the company, it is nowhere close to his previous holdings. Furthermore, he no longer holds a position on the TKO Board of Directors. As CM Punk said during his 2011 pipebomb, the only person holding McMahon back from even greater financial success was himself.
Vince Russo reveals shocking details about Vince McMahon’s house
The recently-released ‘Mr. McMahon’ Netflix documentary has given fans a deep dive into the personal life of Vince McMahon. However, Vince Russo took things one step further while speaking on WrestleBinge. He recently revealed private details about the Genetic Jackhammer’s place of residence.
Vince Russo revealed that he had been to the McMahon residence on multiple occasions, and what he saw inside was a huge shock to him. There were no wrestling-related items present in Vinnie Mac’s house. He did not own any posters, belts, photos of him in the ring, or any piece of wrestling memorabilia.
These details made Russo think that Vince McMahon looked at WWE only as a business and did not want wrestling to enter his personal space. The former WWE writer claimed that the company’s former chairman was not a mark for professional wrestling. He was only a mark for WWE and its success.
