Vince McMahon has been completely surrounded by lawsuits and controversies over the past two years. From the Hush Money scandal, which forced him to retire in 2022, to the Janel Grant lawsuit, which kicked him out of his own company in 2024, it has not been an easy time for the former WWE chairman. Now, his focus seems to have been diverted to the Ring Boys scandal.

McMahon’s attorney, Jessica Rosenberg, recently issued a statement about the lawsuit regarding the Ring Boys scandal. She recalled that a columnist named Phil Mushnick tried to gain popularity by making similar claims, which she claimed were entirely false. The allegations were never proven to be true, and a defamation lawsuit was instead filed against the columnist.

Rosenberg continued by stating all negligence claims against Vince McMahon are purely based on the defamatory claims made by Mushnick all those years ago. His legal team will readily defend him until these claims are proven to be untrue.

Five former WWE ring boys recently filed a suit against Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, and TKO Holdings. The suit alleges that Vinnie Mac, his wife, and the company at large were negligent of the systematic and widespread abuse of underage children. The lawsuit claims that former ring announcer Mel Philips and former employee Terry Garvin s*xually abused younger ring boys who once worked with the company.

Speaking on the Gabby AF podcast, Shelton Benjamin revealed that he had seen the documentary in question. However, he did not find anything that shocked him or that was previously unknown to him. He refused to talk about the intricate details of the stories mentioned in the documentary about the mastermind behind WrestleMania.

I didn’t see anything that, for me, was, uh, unknown. Like, you know, most of the stories and things people talked about, there was nothing there that I personally found, uh, shocking as far as the stories or anything like that.

During the podcast, Benjamin did mention that he had a mostly positive relationship with McMahon. They never had a bad meeting together. Although he did catch him in bad moods at times, their interactions were almost always pleasant.

However, he did admit that McMahon had a lack of faith in him as a performer. Thus, he was never willing to push him to the top of the card. This is probably why the WWE Championship evaded him throughout his entire career.
