Bayern Munich were by far, the more threatening of the two sides at the Allianz Arena as Real Madrid held on to a 2-2 draw. Vinicius Jr. was in the mood for goals against Bayern Munich in yesterday’s semi-final. The No.7’s two crucial goals against the Bavarians ensured that Madrid have all to play for in the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu. His two goals in the semi-final helped him clinch yet another record, as he became the Brazilian with the most goal contributions in the UCL knockouts.

Immediately after the same, fans came to his praise, with one claiming that he had even surpassed Neymar Jr.‘s legacy in Europe. Many backed up the claim, with a few even agreeing that it’s only a matter of time before he surpasses Neymar’s La Liga records as well. The fact that Vinicius is only 23 paired with Neymar’s early exit from Europe made the record even more special for many.

Real Madrid supporters used this as an opportunity to make fun of Barcelona legends, pointing to how none of them would come close to theirs. While fans heaped praise on the young forward, a few were skeptical of their claims.

One said that Vinicius is nowhere close to Neymar’s legacy and that he has a long way to go if he is to do so. A fan said that legacy cannot be measured simply through trophies and stats.
