An ardent supporter of the India skipper Virat Kohli broke the bio-bubble protocols on Wednesday in order to meet Virat Kohli during Day 1 of the pink-ball day-night Test match at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The incident happened during the third session of Day 1 when Virat Kohli was batting during Team India’s first innings.

Surpassing the high security and barricading, a fan came running towards Kohli while the latter was batting on the pitch. Skipper Kohli immediately noticed the person and eluded him immediately before it turned out to be problematic for the players and the officials.
Virat Kohli immediately pulled off from the play just when he saw the fan running towards him. The game only resumed when the fan returned out of the ground.
When ANI contacted a GCA official about the fan breaching the protocols, he replied: “We will look into the matter and we will find out who the fan was. Some sort of action we will take as the matter is serious and safety of everyone is of utmost importance.”
As part of the bio-bubble protocols, there is a high amount of strictness and the players and match officials are not allowed to meet anybody.
