The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named Virat Kohli as the Male Cricketer of the Decade across all formats as well as the Male ODI Cricketer of the Decade. Yesterday, the council had named the Teams of the Decade in all three formats and the Indian skipper was the only cricketer to find his name in all three teams. Such has been Kohli’s domination across this decade that from a promising cricketer, he has already become a great of the game.

Kohli’s dominance was especially evident in the ODI format where he became a master of acing chases. His contribution to successful run-chases for India has been second to none. Apart from his batting, Kohli has always been terrific on the field for his side, setting high standards of fitness. He has also captained his side in a more than capable manner, leading by example.
