Indian cricket team star Virat Kohli was left furious at teammate Kuldeep Yadav for dodging the ball, during the team’s Champions Trophy semi-final encounter against Australia. Kohli was joined by Rohit Sharma in angrily reacting to Yadav’s error.

India takes on Australia in the crucial first semi-final of the 2025 Champions Trophy in Dubai. Batting first, the Kangaroos posed a competitive total of 264 runs, after being bowled out within 49.3 overs of the match. Steve Smith and Alex Carey were the top-scorers for Australia. Bowling for India, Mohammed Shami grabbed three wickets, while Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja scalped two each.

Kuldeep Yadav failed to take a single wicket in the eight overs that he bowled against Australia, giving away 44 runs. To make matters worse, the 30-year-old left-arm spinner also got a mouthful from senior teammates Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma after a careless fielding lapse. The incident that occurred in the 32nd over of the heated semi-final encounter, was caught on camera.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled a full-length delivery to Steve Smith, who flicked the ball towards Virat Kohli at the mid-wicket position. Kohli collected the ball and threw it hard towards the non-striker’s end. However, to his surprise, Yadav allowed the ball to slip through, before it was caught by Rohit Sharma. Both Kohli and Sharma were left displeased at Yadav’s efforts, as they took turns to hurl verbal abuses towards him.

Nonetheless, despite the recent incident, India has been doing well in terms of fielding, at the Champions Trophy this term. Viral Kohli most recently became the Indian player with the most number of catches in international cricket.

Virat Kohli’s fiery celebration after Travis Head’s wicket ignites social media

Virat Kohli produced his trademark response to Australian opener Travis Head‘s dismissal, during India’s Champions Trophy semi-final encounter. Head was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy in the ninth over, for an individual score of 39 runs off 33 balls.

Kohli was over the moon after Head’s dismissal, marking the importance of his wicket. After all, the Aussie opener was showing glimpses of his 2023 World Cup final knock against India. However, in the 9th over, Head sent the ball up in the air for Shubman Gill to take a fantastic catch. Kohli was delighted with the wicket, as he celebrated it in an aggressive manner, something quite well-known among supporters.

The 36-year-old’s celebration did garner a lot of attention, as fans reacted to it on social media. Some fans were reminded of Virat Kohli’s old form, as he is known for having engaged in heated altercations with rival players.
