Virat Kohli played an impeccable knock in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados that saw Team India clinching the silverware after a thrilling win against South Africa. What turned into a nightmare for Virat Kohli who struggled to get runs in the tournament earlier would soon change and that too in the grandest of all occasions.
While talking to the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, Virat Kohli revealed an extremely powerful message that he believed was the key reason for his form to be back in the last T20I. According to the former Indian captain it was all about respecting the game.

Eventually returning to the numbers, he managed to score 24 against Afghanistan while following that up with 37 against Bangladesh. However, things went on a downward spiral once again as he got out for a duck against Australia while garnering just nine runs against England in the semis.

Somehow in the finale, the entire equation changed as he took over the reins of the game emphatically with three fours in the very first over. Despite being compelled to slow down after India lost three early wickets, he shifted gears towards the latter half of the innings and blasted 76, becoming the highest individual scorer for India in the history of the T20 World Cup finals.
