Virat Kohli is currently being panned by everyone for his century against Rajasthan Royals. The 35-year-old took 67-balls, the most by an Indian on Indian soil in the IPL. Being slammed everywhere, his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma claimed there is an agenda against Kohli on national television.
The coach recently featured on India News, where he and three other panelists discussed Virat Kohli’s century against RR. The panelists and hosts slammed Virat Kohli for his slow knock, but his coach defended the innings.
A few people who are talking this nonsense, I think they don’t know the context of the match, what was the situation of the match and how the team was struggling. They only speak to get into the news; simply because whenever you speak about any ordinary player, it doesn’t get you placed in the news headlines but if you speak about a player like Virat Kohli, it gets you in the headlines of the newspapers.Rajkumar Sharma said
He further defended the innings, claiming Kohli did as much as he could while receiving no support from the other end. At the end of the interview, the coach claimed there was an agenda being run against Kohli. Singh further slammed the critics of his student, claiming they had no knowledge and did not know the “C” of cricket.
Virat Kohli confirmed to play in the 2024 T20 World Cup
Before the start of the Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli was rumored to be dropped from the 2024 T20 World Cup squad. Many outlets claimed Ajit Agarkar and his selection committee wanted to move to younger alternatives as they believed Kohli would struggle in the West Indies.
Now it has been confirmed by Cricbuzz that Kohli will be on the plane to North America. Currently the highest run scorer in the IPL, the selection committee can’t find a reason to drop the superstar from the squad.
Meanwhile, the selectors are still trying to find a way to include some players in the squad. Shubman Gill is one such player, but he finds it tough to start over Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Yuzvendra Chahal is also in contention, but Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav are preferred.
