Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are currently at bottom of the IPL Points table. They are having a terrible season, with only one win after playing half their games. Discussing their terrible form, Virender Sehwag had a say.

Talking to Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag believes the reason for RCB’s poor form is the coaching staff and the lack of Indian coaches. He believes many Indian players must feel alienated as they aren’t able to converse with many of their coaches.

Only a few of them are international players, rest are all Indians and half of them don't even understand English. How will you motivate them? Who spends time with them? Who talks to them? I can't see a single Indian staff member. At least there should be someone who the players can confide in.
Virender Sehwag said

He added that players need a comfort level which isn’t available at the franchise. Sehwag observed some Indian players also struggle to talk to their captain, Faf du Plessis, due to the language barrier as well.

The RCB coaching staff currently has one Indian coach, Malolan Rangarajan. The head coach of the team is Andy Flower, while the bowling coach is Adam Griffith.

Faf du Plessis admits team is low on confidence

With only one win out of seven matches, it wouldn’t be surprising if the players were demoralized in the RCB camp. After their loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad (RCB), where they conceded the highest total in IPL history, du Plessis admitted that the team is low on confidence.

It's tough, we tried quite a few things, a few different things, and they weren't quite working. So it's a sign of confidence in the other group. When your confidence is low, there's nowhere to hide in the game.

There is now a huge gap between RCB’s two fixtures. Du Plessis said the team plans to take a break from the sport, hoping to refresh themselves before they play Kolkata Knight Riders on 21st April
