Volleyball star at Paris Olympics once jumped over P Diddy at NBA 2012 dunk contest
Chase Budinger was selected in the 2009 NBA draft's second round.

Chase Budinger and P Diddy
Chase Budinger, a former NBA player, has successfully transitioned from playing in the NBA to beach volleyball on the sand. This has earned him a spot in the next Paris Olympics. Alongside Miles Evans, Budinger, the thirty-six-year-old, pulled off an incredible comeback victory in the qualifying stages to secure the final U.S. Olympic beach volleyball spot.
However, along with his news, what caught people’s attention was Budinger’s insane dunk over P Diddy in 2012. In the video making rounds on the internet, Budinger respectfully approaches Diddy and asks his permission to perform a dunk over him, to which Diddy happily obliges by saying, “Let’s do it!” Importantly, this performance was held throughout the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
Well one thing, white men can jump and I'm about to prove it right now.In the video, Chase Budinger told P Diddy
Budinger lived up to his words as he performed a brilliant dunk over Diddy that basically went on to be the highlight of the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
On the contrary, he is more commonly known in the United States as the former basketball star from Arizona who was selected in the 2009 NBA draft’s second round. It’s important to note that, Budinger was also the co-most valuable player (tied for first place with Kevin Durant) at the 2006 McDonald’s All-American game.
Chase Budinger opens up on how much he “misses basketball” after Olympics call-up
In the US men’s beach volleyball squad for the Olympics in Paris, Chase Budinger was selected. However, Budinger was once a professional basketball player and played in the NBA. Not only that, Budinger recently opened up on how much “he misses basketball.” Also, Budinger was so good at the University of Arizona that nobody was shocked when he entered the draft following his first year.
Interestingly, in a Yahoo Sports Interview with Kerri Walsh Jennings, Chase Budinger had quite a few words to say on the same.
I miss basketball, I mean, it was such a big part of my life for so long. But I’ve kinda put that part of my life away and started this new chapter.Chase Budinger said
However, Budinger has no time to rest as he and his teammates have to be up and ready for a very demanding 2024 Paris Olympics.
Regarding his NBA career, Budinger was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 44th pick in the draft, soon after his rights were quickly moved to the Houston Rockets, where he spent three seasons averaging 9.4 points and 3.4 rebounds. He spent his final NBA season splitting time between the Indiana Pacers and the Phoenix Suns.
