The last month’s ‘Sack Summit’ saw a total of 60 NFL defensive linemen gather in Los Angeles. During the event, Von Miller realized something important about Maxx Crosby.

Miller, who missed a chunk of last season due to injury, looks fit again, and he joined the likes of Crosby, Cam Jordan, and current Colorado Buffaloes coach and Super Bowl winner Warren Sapp. Several rookies had a first taste of the quality of the seasoned veterans.

A recent video from the event showed Miller sharing his experience of participating in the ‘Sack Summit.’ The 35-year-old revealed that it was his ‘type of fun.’

Man! this is my type of fun. Love Vegas. I been able to kick it with the guys and talk football… man this is my type of stuff man. I am loving it.
Von Miller said

The following question was about his fellow D-lineman. He had to single out that one guy who possessed all the tricks in his bag.

I gotta go with Maxx [Crosby]. I have been respecting his game a long time since he was just a young pup man now he is a big dog in the league man. He is just so versatile. He can play inside if he want to… can play at two point stance, three point stance… in spin, out spin, across chop, inside cross chop, outside cross chop. Just about everything.
Von Miller explained

The 26-year-old Maxx Crosby is one of the most consistent defensive linemen in the NFL. Last season, CBS Sports ranked him the 5th-best edge rusher.

2024 will test Maxx Crosby’s leadership skills

For the first time in a while, the Raiders will enter a season with a very young defense that finished 10th in scoring. Crosby will be in the thick of it.

After getting rid of Josh McDaniels, the defense saw massive improvement. Antonio Pierce orchestrated an aggression-first tactic that threw a lot of teams off their usual plan of action.

With the addition of veteran Christian Wilkins, who finished among the top 6 defensive tacklers, the Raiders once again look like a side that would attack the opposing quarterback at every play. Wilkins had a stellar 2023 campaign, racking up nine sacks, 61 total pressures, and 18 double-team pressures. Pairing him with Crosby and Malcolm Koonce appears to be a recipe for success.

The defense may look world-class, but it’s the offense that Pierce needs to work on the most. He decided to stick with Aidan O’Connell, who had a 5-5 record last season, and added former Colts and Eagles quarterback Gardner Minshew as a backup.

They managed to snag arguably the best tight end prospect, Brock Bowers, who seems NFL-ready. Yet the biggest concern is surrounding their star receiver, Davante Adams. His future in the Sin City remains unclear because former teammate Aaron Rodgers wants him at the New York Jets.
