Players and leaders like Shane Warne are not born everyday in this world. I knew him personally very well. He used to live just two minutes away from my house. In fact, I'll tell you another interesting thing. Shane Warne bought his last house from my in-laws - Tony Thompson and Greta. He bought their house.

Akram heavily praised Warne, admiring his qualities like his passion, knowledge of the sport and how involved he was in the sport. He was also admired by how well Warne led Rajasthan Royals (RR) to their first IPL title in 2008

Sanju Samson is currently one the most talked about cricketers in the IPL, with his captaincy and performances putting RR at the top of the points table. Although he started his senior career in 2011, he was one of the most talked about youngsters and was called to a pre-season camp held by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Wasim Akram recounted the time he needed to bowl to a 16-year-old Samson. He remembered it was during a pre-season camp KKR had invited the youngster. Due to a lack of bowlers available, 44-year-old Akram stepped up to bowl to the youngster and bowled him out.

I beat him with a couple of outswingers. I was also young at that time. The third ball I bowled an inswinger and rattled his stumps.
