Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams is already a superstar. Before even throwing his first pass, the Heisman Trophy winner has become the most recognizable face to Chicago sports fans. So much so that it was evident when he made an appearance at Wrigley Field to watch the Chicago Cubs in action.

For months before the draft, the most talked about name in all of Chicago was Caleb Williams. However, most of that chatter was happening amongst football fans. Or that’s what everyone thought until the reception he received at Wrigley Field showed how popular he has become. When the No.1 draft pick was introduced to the baseball-loving crowd, they went wild. It shows that he has become popular among all sports fans.

It seems the city of Chicago felt they have finally got a sporting superstar in their city. Despite incredibly winning the 2016 World Series, even those die-hard Chicago Cubs fans knew that no major superstar has graced the city ever since a certain all-time great basketball player retired.

It all could work majorly in Williams’ favor. After all, he was initially hesitant to join the Bears. But now he seems to have embraced it head-on. Relishing whatever the city can throw in his direction. It seems, after all the things the Bears have done in the off-season, he had to change his mind.

Caleb Williams excited to be a part of the Chicago Bears

As the 2023 NFL season progressed, Caleb Williams was resigned to the fact that the Chicago Bears would get the 1st overall pick. With how they handled Justin Fields’ tenure, it was natural for the would-be No. 1 draft pick to be wary. No player worth their grain of salt would like to go into a difficult situation.

However, the Bears went out of their way to bring in coordinators and coaches who have had success with other teams. They traded for Keenan Allen, signed D’Andre Swift, reinforced both their offensive line and defense, and then drafted Rome Odunze. In short, they made major changes to enable Williams to make good use of his skills to take them to the ultimate goal. Something which has eluded them for almost 40 years.

This is a dream scenario for any rookie starting quarterback in the league. Definitely a situation that has changed his mood all for the better. In time and with success in his hands, his stardom might engulf the entire country.
