WATCH: David Warner touches Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s feet ahead of SRH vs DC

Delhi Capitals (DC) captain David Warner was spotted touching Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s feet ahead of the IPL 2023 match between DC and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). As both players have played together for a long period (in SRH), Kumar and Warner share a healthy friendship. The same was on display when the two individuals took guards for their respective teams on Monday.

Warner touched Bhuvi’s feet while the SRH pacer was having a chat with DC’s Ishant Sharma before the start of the game. The DC skipper, on his way back after the toss, spotted Bhuvi with Ishant and could not stop himself from running to his former teammate. Warner then bowed down and touched the pacer’s feet while Bhuvi wore a perplexed look on his face.

This gesture from Warner not only floored Bhuvneshwar Kumar but the Indian fans too. Many lauded the former SRH skipper for his humbleness and his way of expressing love towards his former teammate.

Coming to the result of this game, David Warner’s Delhi Capitals toppled SRH as the hosts failed to chase 145 in their designated 20 overs. The Aiden Markram-led team was restricted to 137/6 as Mukesh Kumar bowled an exceptional final over for DC. But the damage was done way before the last over.

SRH lost wickets at regular intervals and barring Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klaasen, no other batter tried to bat through the innings. Washington Sundar too was left pondering at one end with Marco Jansen at the other while SRH looked to close the game. Eventually, it was another defeat for the Team in Orange.
