Following this trade, Stephen A. Smith posted a video on X of his reaction to this trade. Smith was seen screaming and all excited about Mikal Bridges joining the New York Knicks.

Smith also mentioned that more than the NBA Draft he was more excited about the New York Knicks performing with Mikal Bridges and Jalen Brunson side by side.

With the Knicks and Dillion Brooks proving their capabilities a role player like Bridges is going to be a valuable role player. Smith also added that the Brooklyn Nets acquired a lot in return for the trade with Knicks.
