Australia legend Adam Gilchrist, while speaking on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, lavished praise on Glenn Maxwell for his breathtaking knock against Afghanistan. Gilchrist feels Maxwell’s innings could potentially save ODI cricket.

There has been debates and discussion surrounding the fate of ODI cricket as many believe its popularity is decreasing due to T20 cricket. Gilchrist believes T20 cricket doesn’t allow one to rebuild and relaunch the innings like ODIs do and often one can watch “miraculous” victories in this format.
