Indian Cricket Team scripted history as they won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Rohit Sharma and his team did not lose any game in the tournament and became the first side to win the T20 World Cup undefeated. It was a matter of joy for all the fans and the players as they have waited for an ICC trophy for 11 years. They had come close on several occasions and performed consistently but had fallen short in the semi final and final.

Cricket is a religion in India. The Indian fans follow their team passionately and are emotional about the game. If the team does well, it gets a hero’s welcome but it gets bashed for simple mistakes. The Indian Cricket team is the most followed cricket team in the world. So, after the win in the T20 World Cup 2024, it was a matter of celebration for the fans across India. They were patiently waiting for the players to arrive back in India with the World Cup trophy.

Today, they reached India and they were given a rousing welcome in the Delhi airport. Team India will host an open bus parade in Mumbai through the marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. Even before the Indian players arrived at the Mumbai airport, there were lakhs of fans in the Marine Drive waiting patiently for the Men in Blue. The road to the Wankhede was filled with lakhs of fans who have gathered to celebrate the trophy with the Indian cricketers.

Winning the World Cup is always a special occasion to any team and especially if it’s the Indian Cricket Team. Wherever they go, Team India is well supported by the fans as Indian fans live and die for cricket. Even after the painful defeats that they suffered in the semi finals and finals previously, they did not lose hope and stayed behind the team.
