Gujarat Titans (GT) were bowled out for 89 by Delhi Capitals on 17th April. It is the lowest total in the ongoing 2024 IPL and the team has gotten loads of flak for it, but the highlight of the match was a fan. 

During the first innings of the match, the cameraman spotted a female fan watching from the stands. The fan went viral due to the fact that she looked quite similar to Cuban actress and Hollywood star Ana de Armas. While from the footage it seemed Shubman Gill was speechless after seeing the fan, he was actually reacting to a replay.

Fans wondered who the fan was, with many asking online. Many saw the resemblance between her and de Armas. Meanwhile some jokingly claimed Gill wasn’t in form because he was more interested in looking at fans. One user claimed she is the current partner of Prithvi Shaw.

Shubman Gill blames poor shot selection for batting performance 

Shubman Gill’s side were bundled out for the lowest score of the 2024 IPL against DC. Despite the pitch not being a bowler’s paradise, the hosts couldn’t bat out the 20 overs. Captain Shubman Gill claimed poor shot selections cost his side the match.

Our batting was very average, and it is important to move on and come back strong. The wicket was alright, if you see some of the dismissals, it had nothing to do with the pitch. Poor shot selection I would say.

GT will now travel to Punjab to play the Punjab Kings. Both teams are currently in the bottom half of the table and will fight it out for a win. The Kings won in their previous encounter thanks to some great innings by Shashank Singh and Ashutoh Sharma.
