If there is one person who enjoys the NBA offseason at its fullest, it is none other than NBA superstar Nikola Jokic. From attending his family’s horse riding events to recently racing bullet trains, Jokic is a proper entertainer on and off the court. No wonder he is known as the Joker. He is currently enjoying some quality time in China.

This also means that the notorious Denver Nuggets star man seemingly decided to snub the ongoing NBA Summer League. The top players in the league have little to prove this summer, especially because there is little to gain and a high danger of injury. And as for Jokic, he’d rather race a high-speed bullet train than watch the Summer League.

The Nuggets star recently raced a bullet train in China. Not any bullet train, it was the Fuxing high-speed bullet train as spotted in the viral clip making rounds on the internet:

Fans had hilarious reactions to the Joker’s recent offseason activity. The Joker is in China to advertise 361 Degrees, a $10.48 billion business in China. In 2023, he collaborated with them to create the sneakers he proudly sports on the court. But Jokic is enjoying more than just the business trip, which is miles away from Serbia or Denver.

The star was also involved in a competitive 1v1 against his brother, Nemanja Jokic, in China, exposing the rivalry between the two. Aside from this, the Nuggets’ David Adelman was given the permanent position to succeed Michael Malone after being appointed as an interim initially.

Also, they have been quite active in this trade market, replacing their players with new reinforcements. They signed Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. and traded Michael Porter Jr. for Cam Johnson and Dario Saric for Jonas Valanciunas. This gives the Joker plenty of options around him and a new look for the Nuggets’ side for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season.

Nikola Jokic posts a heartwarming message to a former NBA player and countryman

Nikola Jokic is known for his humble personality on and off the court. Often, he is someone who won’t shy away from being himself at any given moment. The Serbian star often checks up on his countrymen and former basketball players once in a while. Most recently, Jokic checked up on a Serbian basketball legend, Milos Teodosic, and posted a heartfelt message regarding his retirement from the sport.

Captain, you’re going down in legend (translated to English). Unfortunately, your career has to end, but it’s certainly a career that all of us who play basketball are envious of and want to achieve. As a fan, thank you for all the medals. As a teammate, thank you for the time spent together on and off the court. It was an honor and a pleasure to share the court with you. Enjoy your retirement, Master!

Notably, Teodosic was also a former NBA player, playing for the Los Angeles Clippers for 2 years. He played a mere 60 games in the league. In those 60 games, he averaged 8.0 points per game, but after those two years, he returned to Serbia. Nevertheless, Jokic’s comments showcase the impact the former Serbian player had on him.
