There were many surprises throughout the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets game. The Jamal Murray buzzer-beater shot, Michael Porter Jr.’s disputed foul on D’Angelo Russell, and now the sight of Nikola Jokic’s brother scalding an arena fan have left fans enthralled with the game. The NBA has begun investigating the incident that took place in the arena.

While Nikola Jokic was dominating the court and showcasing his skills, his brother Strahinja Jokic was fighting off rivalry off the court. After getting into a fight with a fan, Jokic’s brother went on to punch the fan. The blow was indeed powerful, but the fan did not falter.

The reason behind the act is still not official. The investigation is going on behind the scuffle his brother had with the fan. In the video, Nikola Jokic‘s wife Nataljia was also seen with their younger daughter, and watching the video clearly, it could be something related to Jokic’s family.

Even though there could be any number of reasons for the punch, it is not a good indicator when he punches a fan. Jokic’s brother was already involved in an apparent assault in 2019 and had previously worked as a jailer.

Nikola Jokic’s brother was arrested in 2019 for assaulting a woman

Strahinja Jokic, the brother of Nikola Jokic, had previously been arrested. He was taken into custody in 2019 after he abused a woman in his Denver apartment. His pushing and choking of the woman, along with his refusal to let her leave the residence, was the basis for the arrest. Reports also stated that he was drunk when he made her remain at the residence.

He was charged with serious crimes for those activities, although he entered a plea in the final one. However, there was a catch: he couldn’t face any charges after 2022 if he stayed out of trouble. Later, the case was eventually dropped.

Back to the present, now. He’s making headlines once more, but not for a good cause. When these behaviors are considered, it is evident that his brother has a rather short fuse. Nevertheless, the current act’s purpose is still not known.
