Novak Djokovic is back practicing on clay courts ahead of his Paris Olympics participation which will be hosted at the same venue as Roland Garros. The Serbian looks to be growing in confidence since his return from injury at Wimbledon.
Just six weeks ago, Djokovic withdrew from his French Open quarterfinals match due to injury. An MRI scan later revealed a torn meniscus in his knee and he immediately underwent surgery. Against all odds and predictions, He managed to recover in time for the Wimbledon Championships.
Djokovic produced stellar performances at the All England Club, beating the likes of Holger Rune and Lorenzo Musetti to reach his 10th final at SW19, where he faced Carlos Alcaraz. The former World No. 1 was nowhere near his best in the title match and lost in straight sets.
After a week’s break, the 37-year-old is back on the court training for the Olympic Games which kickstart on July 26. The singles first-round matches are set to get underway on July 27. In a video shared on social media, the Serbian can be seen serving on a clay practice court in Paris.

I still have intentions to play Olympic Games [and] hopefully have a chance to fight for a medal for my country. [The Olympics are] on a completely different surface obviously [and I’m] going back to the place where I got injured some weeks ago. Let’s see.
Novak Djokovic said via Olympics
The World No. 2 is yet to win a title this year. He has not been at his best this season and has also been troubled by injuries. However, he will take pride in his Wimbledon performance as he looks to win the elusive Olympic gold this year.
