The Laureus Award is one of the most prestigious awards for sportsmen, as they get recognized for their achievements in the year. Novak Djokovic was one of the main highlights of this awards ceremony, as he won his fifth Laureus Best Sportsman award for an incredible 2023. 

Serbia had two different suits for the award ceremony. A black one for the red carpet and a white one for sitting at the table. On the red carpet, the Serbian and his wife Jelena had to stop to click a few pictures when Djokovic displayed extreme kindness to a reporter.

As Djokovic and his wife were about to exit the red carpet, a reporter asked the Serbian to pass his headband. Without hesitation, Djokovic directly put the headband on the reporter’s head and signed it before leaving. Deeply impressed with his kindness, the reporter, Isma Juarez, did something unexpected.

Extremely happy at the moment, the Spanish reporter had decided to consider himself a Serbian. Another addition to the Serbian club. 

Nonetheless, Djokovic went on to win the award and equal Roger Federer with five titles. He was also featured in a Vogue’s GRWM video with his wife, which impressed more fans. In this video, the Serbian brought out

After 20 years, the tennis world witnesses Novak Djokovic without a coach. The Serbian had recently split up with his Croatian coach, Goran Ivanisevic. It was an unexpected decision by the Serbian, who had played some of his best tennis under Ivanisevic.

He also had former doubles World No.1 Nenad Zimonjic with him at Monte Carlo and is even considering continuing with him in the future. Another decision that Djokovic is pondering is the one to go coach-less. In a recent interview, he expressed his thoughts about not having a coach. 

It’s not like I think I don’t need a coach at all. I think there’s always value in having that quality team... But I think I’m in the stage of my career where I can afford to. maybe think having no coach is also an option.
Said Novak Djokovic. 

The Serbian has decided to skip the Madrid Open to prepare well for the upcoming French Open, Wimbledon, and ultimately the Paris Olympics. With a huge year ahead, Djokovic has prepared a schedule to be fully fit for the important tournaments.
