Rovman Powell smacked a monstrous 104-meter six that landed outside the stadium when the West Indies clashed against Zimbabwe on Wednesday [October 19] at the Blundstone Arena in Bellerive.
This happened in the third ball of the 20th over bowled by Blessing Murzarabani. When Powell smashed it over the mid-wicket, along with the crowd, even Akeal Hosein, who was standing in the non-striker’s end simply couldn’t believe what he just witnessed.

Talking about the match, West Indies first put on 153/7 in their 20 overs. Johnson Charles scored a much-needed 45 runs off 36 balls.
Alzarri Joseph broke Zimbabwe’s back with his four-wicket haul. He conceded 16 runs in his four overs at an economy of 4. “So I was just thinking of coming in and doing something special, which I would have needed to,” said Joseph after the match. “I’ve put a lot of work in on the yorker because if you can bowl the yorker at different stages of the game, it can really surprise the oppositio. I wouldn’t yet say I’ve mastered it, though.”
West Indies have so far won one and lost one match. They first suffered a 42-run defeat against Scotland but recovered and went on to win this match. The former T20 World Cup champions will face Ireland on Friday, October 21.
