Vladimir Putin caught dozing at 2022 Winter Olympics opening ceremony

The much-awaited 2022 Winter Olympics kicked off on February 4 in Beijing, China as the world witnessed a stupendous opening ceremony. The ceremony witnessed the Chinese capital become the first city to host both the summer and winter Games. Despite the global pandemic ravaging the world, the IOC has decided to go ahead with the Games given the success of the Tokyo Olympics last year.

A series of boycotts over various geopolitical issues brought the Games into the spotlight. And while the opening ceremony set the tempo for the Winter Olympics, it was yet again a politician who stole the show. Russian President Vladimir Putin hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons as he attended the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympics.
