Savannah James receives holiday surprise from LeBron James

Savannah James, wife of NBA superstar LeBron James, was in for a surprise during the latest episode of her podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, co-hosted with April McDaniel. While hosting a holiday special featuring fan stories about “holiday crazy,” Savannah received an unexpected call.

To her surprise, the caller was none other than her husband, LeBron James, introducing himself with a suave and playful tone. The moment began with Savannah James and McDaniel engaging with their audience, preparing to hear quirky holiday anecdotes.

However, they were taken aback when a familiar voice spoke from the other end. The caller, claiming to be from Akron, Ohio, started with an unmistakably smooth introduction.

What’s going on? LeBron James, I’m from Akron, Ohio.

LeBron James answered

Recognizing her husband’s voice, Savannah blushed and responded flirtatiously.

That was so sexy. Sexy Santa! What’s going on, LeBron James? What you got for us?

Savannah James responded

However, the tone shifted when LeBron playfully revealed that his wife was his “holiday crazy.” Savannah was visibly amused by the admission from her husband but slightly exasperated, shooting him a mock-annoyed look on camera. However, she did go on to reveal her aversion to Christmas because her husband is playing in the NBA’s marquee Christmas game more often than not.

Over his 22-season career, LeBron has played in 17 Christmas Day games, becoming a staple of the NBA’s marquee holiday matchups. This year will mark his 18th, as he faces off against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

LeBron James’ status questionable for struggling Lakers

With the holiday season in full swing, the Lakers will look for a resurgence. However, LeBron James’ recent absence from the Lakers’ practice is raising questions about his availability for upcoming games. On Wednesday, Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed that James was excused for personal reasons and hadn’t joined the team since their victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

LeBron is not with the team right now. He’s out for personal reasons, excused absence.

JJ Redick said

James had already missed the Blazers game due to soreness in his left foot, marking his first absence of the season. Redick noted that the veteran forward is “taking some time,” and his status for Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves remains uncertain.

This season, James has averaged 23 points on 49.5% shooting, along with 9.1 assists and 8 rebounds per game, proving he remains a key contributor for the Lakers despite his age. Redick emphasized ongoing communication with both James and his athletic trainer, Mike Mancias, to ensure the four-time MVP is physically prepared for the grueling NBA schedule.

With the Lakers enjoying a light schedule, two games in a 10-day span, the team has taken measures to manage James’ workload as he approaches his 40th birthday later this month.
