The Atlanta Hawks defeated Boston Celtics 119-117 all thanks to Young’s masterful performance and even impressive clutch play. The superstar guard led the way for his team with 38 points, 13 assists ad 3 rebounds, but he also added a highlight for the ages.
With less than seven seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter, Boston led 117-116. Young took the inbound pass inside the Hawks’ half and drove toward the Celtics players, seemingly looking to get to the basket for a layup. Jaylen Brown tried to stop the Hawks star’s progress and tracked him all the way. But with just over four seconds remaining, Young sensed urgency, moved right, and hit a crossover. As soon as he saw some space, Young attempted a deep 3-pointer from near half-court and converted before breaking out with his trademark ‘ice cold’ celebration, silencing the Boston crowd.

It was a glorious moment for the Hawks star, who had to hear ‘f**k Trae Young’ chants from the Celtics fans while he was at the free-throw line late in the game. The win saw Atlanta cut the Celtics’ lead to 3-2 and will now head back home for Game 6 with the chance to level the series and force a Game 7.
