WATCH: Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir get into a verbal fight as RCB beat LSG in low-scoring affair

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir got into a verbal fight after Faf du Plessis’ RCB beat LSG by 18 runs in a low-scoring affair on Monday. The former RCB skipper and LSG mentor looked agitated while shaking hands as a post-match tradition. Virat Kohli was pumped throughout the game and was seen sushing the LSG crowd every time RCB took a wicket.

This certainly did not sit well with Gautam Gambhir who was previously seen sushing the Bangalore crowd when LSG defeated RCB the last time the two teams met in IPL 2023. The two individuals were seen uttering a few words at each other and had to be separated by others around. The video of the incident went viral on social media in no time.

With the video going viral on social media, reactions started pouring from all corners. While a few fans enjoyed this little banter, some thought it could have been avoided.

What exactly happened!

naveen ul haq

While many seem to have mistaken it for a fight between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli, it was not exactly that. It all started with Kohli sledging Naveen-ul-Haq while the latter was batting. After RCB won the game, Naveen reportedly uttered a few words again and things went south from thereon.

In another video, Kyle Mayers was seen talking to Kohli when Gambhir took away Mayers. The LSG mentor then said a few things while Kohli walked by. Eventually, the RCB stalwart called Gambhir to explain everything.
