‘We won’t support this!’ : Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich join hands to reject European Super League

German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich become the first two heavyweights to reject the newly proposed European Super League. Both these clubs who keep the fans interest as their priority and are not like other money hungry organisations and not football clubs have come out for the right thing.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich reject European Super League
The league will have a total of 20 teams, with three more clubs joining the 12 already announced founding members. And a further five teams will qualify for the tournament annually based on their achievements in the prior season.
However Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich leading the way have rejected all proposals made. The two German giant’s have come together and have shared the same identical views to completely block the proposal.
Borussia Dortmund have released a statement confirming the club are against the Super League. CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says Bayern Munich “shared exactly the same stance throughout all discussions”
“The members of the European Club Association (ECA) board met in a virtual conference on Sunday evening and reiterated that the board’s decision of last Friday is still valid,” Watzke said.
“This clubs want to implement the planned reform of the UEFA Champions League. It was the clear opinion of the ECA Board members that they reject the plans to create a Super League.”
“Both German clubs represented on the ECA Board, FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, had 100% identical views in all discussions.”
